Meet our Team

With over 22 years of experience in adult education and digital literacy, Geetika Samuel is a seasoned professional dedicated to transforming learning experiences. As the Founder & Academic Director of eLiteracy Link, she has been instrumental in supporting strategic planning, refining program delivery, and overseeing robust assessment and moderation practices.

Geetika’s extensive career includes senior academic roles at a leading New Zealand university – The University of Waikato, where she excelled in both teaching and management. Her expertise in coaching and mentoring staff, along with guiding students in the effective use of eLearning technologies, has been a cornerstone of her work. Geetika also successfully operated an IELTS training institute in Chandigarh, India, from 2004 to 2006, further highlighting her entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to education.

Dr Emma McGuirk

With over 20 years of experience in English language education, curriculum design, and academic research, Dr Emma McGuirk is a dedicated professional committed to empowering learners and enhancing educational practices. As an English Language Tutor and Education Consultant, she specialises in academic and business English, IELTS preparation, and professional communication, helping students and professionals achieve their language and career goals.

Emma has worked in English language education since 2002 in New Zealand, Japan, and China. She has delivered IELTS preparation courses, preparatory courses for Cambridge English exams, Business English, General English courses from Beginners through to Advanced, and English for Academic Purposes (EAP).

Emma’s career spans university teaching, private language schools, online teaching, and curriculum development. She has taught at The University of Otago, The University of Waikato, Jiangnan University, and Shanghai Jiao Tong University, one of China’s top universities, where she designed and delivered courses in social anthropology. She has also worked as an Instructional Designer, developing digital learning materials and guiding organisations in effective online education strategies.

With a doctorate in anthropology, her expertise extends beyond the classroom into research and consultancy. Emma has led and collaborated on projects that bridge education, community development, research, and international engagement.
